Venti sono gli anni dalla nascita di Autistici/Inventati. Venti sono gli anni passati da quando ci siamo avventurati su questa strada piuttosto complicata.
Come ogni fine anno che si rispetti e’ per noi tempo di bilanci. E per noi i bilanci sono politici e progettuali prima che economici, anche se non possiamo negare che vi chiederemo come sempre di sostenerci economicamente.
Venti anni fa nessuno faceva quello che facciamo. E anche oggi nessuno lo fa come lo facciamo noi. E’ importante ricordarlo perche’ 20 anni passati a mantenere vivo e funzionante un progetto come il nostro, potendo fare affidamento ESCLUSIVAMENTE sul contributo volontario di chi vi partecipa e sulle donazioni dei nostri utenti,necessitano di particolare riguardo.
Oggi e’ facile trovare una e-mail o lo spazio dove mettere un sito gratis, e sappiamo che le mailing lists sembrano passate di moda, soppiantate dai milioni di gruppi forniti dai vari messengers, ma pensiamo che oggi sia ben più difficile trovare uno spazio libero dove poter ragionare e organizzare alternative all’esistente. Senza luoghi alternativi non esistono pensieri alternativi, senza spazi dove praticare altri modi di vivere, di organizzarsi e ipotizzare mondi diversi non e’ possibile cambiare l’esistente.
Il 2020 non e’ stato solo crudele in termini di vite umane, ma ha portato anche una maggiore difficolta’ ad immaginare e praticare il cambiamento. E capiamo come sia difficile pensare al cambiamento quando ci si scontra con l’improvviso isolamento, non solo sociale, ma anche mentale che oggi notiamo in modo particolare. Siamo stati rinchiusi e incastrati tra le responsabilita’ verso gli altri e l’emergenza che non lascia spazio ad alternative. Alcuni pensano che in realta’ il 2020 abbia solo reso evidente la marginalita’ in cui e’ caduta la costruzione di mondi diversi. Ma il mondo esistera’ anche nel 2021, probabilmente in modo non dissimile dal 2020, e ci sara’ ancora bisogno di tornare a pensare e praticare qualcosa di completamente diverso. Come sempre non pensiamo che questo sia possibile in spazi mercificati, scrutinati, abusati costantemente alla merce’ di chi ricava profitto da ogni tua parola e da ogni byte. Non crediamo nemmeno in una narrativa che condanna i comportamenti collettivamente responsabili come una forma di debolezza o di schiavitu’: come se la logica dell’interesse personale, della pigrizia o dell’indifferenza possano comunicare un valore, quello dell’autodeterminazione, da rivendicare proprio in un momento in cui la biologia ci ricorda che nessuno e’ libero prima che siano libere tutte.
L’amarezza che proviamo quest’anno non si limita infatti solo agli ambiti digitali. Ovviamente sentiamo un forte bisogno di solidarieta’ e pensiamo che questa sia purtroppo spesso latitante sia nelle priorita’ che determinano l’evolversi della situazione nel mondo reale, che nella narrativa che ne scaturisce. E affermare che mai come quest’anno ce ne sarebbe bisogno e’ dire un ovvieta’, ma sentiamo lo stesso il bisogno di dirlo, e lo vogliamo comunicare non solo a parole, ma anche con il nostro lavoro, che quest’anno ha avuto spesso come obiettivo quello di rispondere ai nuovi bisogni che l’emergenza ha portato in superficie.
Un pezzo di lavoro spetta infatti a noi, per cercare di fornire strumenti ancora piu’ appropriati, efficaci ed utilizzabili.
Coerentemente alle esigenze emerse nel 2020 abbiamo aggiunto due nuovi servizi:

Non richiedono autenticazione e non registrano i vostri dati, una combinazione di caratteristiche a nostro avviso peculiare che contiamo possa contribuire a cambiare l’atteggiamento con cui ci si rapporta alla tecnologia oggi.
Ma al di fuori degli ambiti digitali praticare il cambiamento e’ anche un esercizio sociale e comune, al quale ognuno deve pero’ contribuire individualmente.
Noi abbiamo la ferma intenzione di esserci. Insieme.
Alcuni ci scrivono che le idee che abbiamo espresso nel nostro ventennale e lirico manifesto sono obsolete e “fuori dal tempo”. Noi invece pensiamo che siano ancora esattamente la prospettiva che manca in questo tempo. Non abbiamo intenzione di cambiare strada. Abbiamo intenzione di aiutare a cambiare cio’ che ci circonda, con chi ci circonda. E’ quello che abbiamo sempre fatto e in cui abbiamo sempre creduto.
E non e’ mai stato facile. Ci auguriamo di poterlo fare insieme ai compagni e alle compagne che ci hanno accompagnato fino a qui e a molti altri e molte altre che si uniranno lungo la strada.

Twenty years have passed since the birth of Autistici / Inventati. Twenty years have passed since we ventured down this quite complicated road. Like any respectable end of the year, it is again time for evaluations. End of the year balances are mostly political rather than financial for us, although we cannot deny that we will, as always, ask you to support us economically.
Twenty years ago nobody did what we do. And even today nobody does it the way we do it. This is important to remember because 20 years of work to keep our project alive and functional, relying EXCLUSIVELY on the efforts of the volunteers involved and the spontaneous donations from our users deserve special attention.
Today is very easy to obtain an e-mail address or the space to host a website for free, and we know that mailing lists are mostly replaced by the millions of group chats provided by the various instant messaging platforms. But we think that today it is much more difficult to find a free space where is possible to organize alternatives to the existing. Without alternative places there are no alternative thoughts, without spaces where it is possible to practice other ways of living, organize and imagine different worlds, it is not possible to change the existing one.
2020 has not only been cruel in terms of loss of human lives, it also brought greater difficulty in imagining and practicing change. We do understand how difficult it is to think about change when one has to come to terms with the sudden psychological in as much as social isolation we came to notice , that we recently came to notice. We have been locked down and wedged between the responsibilities towards others and the emergency that leaves no room for alternatives. Some think that 2020 has only actually made more evident how the struggles for an alternative world have become marginal. But the world will also exist in 2021, probably not very differently from 2020, and we will still need to think and practice something completely different.
As always, we do not think that this is possible in spaces that are commodified, monitored, profiled and constantly abused by those who profit from our every word and our every byte. We don’t believe in narratives condemning collectively responsible behavior either: as if it were some sort of weakness or a moniker of slavery. As if the logic of self-interest, laziness or indifference could communicate any sort of value, ie. self-determination, supposedly to be reclaimed, precisely when biology reminds us that no one is free unitl everyone is free.
The bitterness we feel this year isn’t in fact just related to the digital realms. Obviously we feel a strong need for more solidarity: we think that solidarity is unfortunately often lacking both in the priorities that determine the evolution of the real world situation, and in the narrative that derives from it. To say that never like this year there has been a stronger need for solidarity is stating the obvious, but we still feel the need to say it, not only in words, but also with our work, which in 2020 has often had the objective of answering the new needs that the emergency has brought up to the surface.
A piece of work is in fact up to us, to try to provide even more appropriate, effective and usable tools. Coherently with the needs that emerged in 2020, we have added two new services:

They do not require authentication and do not log your data, a combination of features we believe can help change the common attitude we see in relating to technology today.
But outside the digital sphere, practicing change is also a social and common exercise, to which everyone must contribute individually. We have the firm intention of being there. Together.
Some wrote to us saying that the ideas we have expressed in our twenty years old, lyrical manifesto, are obsolete and “out of place” in today’s world. Quite the opposite, we think that they are still exactly the perspective that is missing today. We are not going to change our path. We intend to help change what surrounds us, together with the people around us. This is the way (cit.)
This is what we have always done and what we have always believed in. And it has never been easy. We hope to be able to do it together with the comrades who have been with us all the way here and with the many others who will join us further along the way.

Veinte años han pasado desde el nacimiento de Autistici/Inventati, veinte años desde que nos aventuramos por este camino tan complicado. Como cada fin de año que se respete, llega la hora de los balances y para nosotros este es mucho más político y de iniciativas que económico, aunque no podemos negar que, como siempre, debemos pedir tu apoyo para el sostenimiento de este proyecto.
Hace veinte años nadie hacía lo que hacemos e incluso hoy nadie lo hace como lo hacemos nosotros. Es importante recordarlo porque estos veinte años de mantener vivo y en funcionamiento un proyecto como el nuestro, apoyado EXCLUSIVAMENTE en el trabajo voluntario de quienes participan en él y en las donaciones de nuestros usuarios, es un esfuerzo que vale la pena destacar.
Hoy es fácil abrir una cuenta de e-mail o un espacio para un sitio web de forma gratuita, y sabemos que las listas de correos han pasado de moda para ser reemplazadas por millones de grupos de chat alojados por servicios de mensajería instantánea.
Sin embargo, también pensamos que hoy en día es mucho más difícil que nunca encontrar un espacio libre para pensar y organizar alternativas a lo existente. Sin espacios alternativos no hay pensamientos alternativos, sin espacios en los que sea posible practicar otros modos de vida, organizarse e imaginar otros mundos posibles es imposible cambiar el mundo que existe.
2020 no solo fue un año cruel en términos de pérdida de vidas humanas, también trajo grandes dificultades para nuestra capacidad de imaginar y practicar el cambio. Sabemos lo difícil que es pensar en cambiar las cosas cuando nos damos cuenta de que estamos particularmente aislados no solo social sino también mentalmente, algo que hemos descubierto recientemente. Hemos estado encerrados y enmarcados entre la responsabilidad que tenemos hacia los demás y una emergencia que no nos deja espacio para construir alternativas.
Hay quienes creemos que, en realidad, 2020 solo hizo evidente el punto marginal en que aún se encuentra la construcción de un mundo diferente, pero este mundo como lo tenemos seguirá existiendo en 2021, probablemente de un modo no muy distinto al de 2020, y seguimos necesitando pensar y actuar de un modo totalmente diferente para transformarlo.
Como siempre, pensamos que esto no será posible en espacios mercantilizados, vigilados, perfilados y abusados constantemente por aquellos que sacan ganancias de cada una de nuestras palabras y cada uno de nuestros bytes. No creemos en una narrativa que condene al comportamiento colectivamente responsable como una forma de debilidad o esclavitud: como si la lógica del interés propio, la pereza o la indiferencia pudiera comunicar un valor, el de la autodeterminación, y reivindicarlos precisamente en un momento en que la biología nos recuerda que nadie es libre antes de que todos sean libres.
La amargura que experimentamos este año no se limitó al ámbito digital. Obviamente, sentíamos una fuerte necesidad de mayor solidaridad en momentos en que esta parece fugarse entre tantas prioridades que determinan la evolución de la situación del mundo real y la narrativa que se deriva del mismo. Mencionar que la solidaridad nunca fue tan necesaria como ahora es decir algo obvio, pero creemos que es fundamental decirlo, no solo con palabras sino con nuestras acciones y trabajo, que este año estuvo orientado a responder a las nuevas carencias que la emergencia ha sacado a la superficie. Un peso muy importante en dichas labores estuvo relacionado con tratar de proporcionar herramientas todavía más apropiadas, eficaces y utilizables para seguir construyendo ese otro mundo.
Coherentemente con dichas necesidades, en 2020 hemos abierto dos nuevos servicios:

Ninguno de ellos requiere de registro o autenticación ni va a guardar tus datos personales. Se trata de una combinación de características que, a nuestro modo de ver, pueden ayudar a cambiar la actitud con la que comúnmente se ve a la relación con la tecnología en nuestros días.
Sin embargo, por fuera de la esfera tecnológica, practicar el cambio es también un ejercicio social y común al cual cada uno de nosotros debe contribuir individualmente. Tenemos la firme intención de estar allí, juntos.
Alguns personas nos escriben diciendo que las ideas que hemos planteado durante veinte años en nuestros líricos manifiestos son obsoletas y están ‘fuera de tiempo’. Por el contrario, creemos que mantienen la perspectiva que hace falta en nuestros días. No tenemos la intención de cambiar nuestro camino: tratamos de ayudar a cambiar lo que nos rodea junto a la gente que nos rodea. Esto es lo que siempre hemos hecho y en lo que siempre hemos creído.
Esto nunca ha sido fácil. Esperamos poder seguir haciéndolo junto a los compañeros y compañeras que han estado a nuestro lado y muchos otros que se nos unan en el camino.
