IRC server back online

Siamo spiacenti di comunicare a tutti i nostri utenti che durante l’ultima necessaria manutenzione di tutti i server di A/I il servizio di chat via IRC e di registrazione di nick e canali ha subito un danno irreparabile. Abbiamo ripristinato i backup dei nick e dei canali registrati al 12 dicembre 2010: ogni canale e nick registrato successivamente dovrà essere nuovamente notificato agli appositi servici (nickserv e chanserv).

We are sorry to inform all of our users that during a much needed maintanance operation on all of our servers the IRC server and its services have been damaged. We restore a backup from December 12th, 2010: all of the nick and channels registered from that moment on will have to be submitted again to the respective service (nickserv and chanserv).

    Why the IRC server have been damaged? What happened?

    Nothing serious: One of the daemons went a bit crazy during a maintenance and since IRC is an old, rusty service this caused the outage.
