Alle volte ci troviamo a constatare come, nonostante tutto e tutti, una delle forze che governano il mondo sia l’idiozia. Oggi siamo giunti per l’ennesima volta a questa conclusione affrontando il problema delle mail inviate dai nostri domini che vengono considerate spam dai grandi provider commerciali come yahoo, virgilio e hotmail.
Per quanti sforzi facciamo per risolvere il problema, ciclicamente finiamo sempre per trovarci di fronte a nuove segnalazioni, nuove blacklist e nuove richieste di pagamento per dimostrare che non siamo spammer.
Ma come mai siamo considerati così cattivi? Alla fine di una serie di analisi, dobbiamo ringraziare principalmente proprio gli utenti dei provider di cui sopra, che usano, o meglio abusano in modo idiota degli antispam.

Invece di disiscriversi da una o più mailing list, cosa fattibile via web spendendo al massimo tre minuti di prezioso tempo, scelgono di marcare come spam la posta che ricevono. In questo modo loro non ne trovano più traccia nella inbox, ma allo stesso tempo segnalano il dominio in questione come dannoso.
Ripetendo questa pratica per qualche decina di volte, si ottiene la “condanna” di tutti gli indirizzi e della rete dei server.
Quindi se le vostre mail non vengono lette da chi ha una casella di posta sui grandi provider commerciali, è proprio grazie all’idiozia dei loro simili.
Il mondo potrebbe essere un posto migliore se solo accettassimo di fare dei piccoli sforzi. Tra questi c’è anche l’uso consapevole dei sistemi informatici, ma di certo continuando a delegare, a usare servizi a sproposito e a cercare facili soluzioni che alla fine fanno solo danni, non si andrà molto lontano.
Probabilmente voi che leggete queste righe già lo sapete, ma provate a raccontarlo a tutti coloro che continuano a usare una fottuta mail commerciale. Non sarà l’inizio della rivoluzione, ma sarà senz’altro un piccolo passo per arginare l’idiozia dilagante.

Sometimes we have to acknowledge that, despite everything and everyone, among the forces that rule the universe there is stupidity. Today we had to draw this conclusion one more time as we tackled the problem of mail originating from our domains which is identified as spam by big commercial providers such as yahoo, virgilio and hotmail.
For all the efforts we make in order to solve this issue, we regularly receive such communications and have to face blacklisting and new payments to show that we are not spammers.
How come are we considered so malicious? After carrying out a series of inquiries, we know that the only people to be thanked for this are those same users of mainstream providers who use, or rather idiotically abuse antispam services. Instead of unsubscribing from one or more mailing lists — which they can do on the Web by wasting three minutes of their precious time at most — they choose to mark as spam the messages they receive from those lists. This is a way for erasing those messages from their incoming mail, but by doing this they also report as dangerous the relevant domain.
Repeat this practice several times, and you’ll get a “sentence” against all the mail addresses and the server network connected to the accused domain.
So if your mail doesn’t get to people with a mailbox in a big commercial provider, this is due to the stupidity of their peers.
The world would be a better place if we only accepted to make some tiny efforts. Among these there is also a kowledgeable use of IT. On the other hand, if you keep delegating, abusing and seeking easy solutions which end up being more detrimental than helpful, we won’t go far.
Probably if you are reading these few lines, you are know this, but try to tell it to those who insist on keeping their bloody commercial mailbox. You won’t start up a revolution, but it will certainly be a small step forward for stemming widespread stupidity.
